What is Ucon concrete admixture?

A concrete admixture is a substance that’s used to optimize a pre-existing concrete mix, conferring on it some additional benefits or properties to make it better suited to the project at hand.

Concrete, generally a mixture of cement, fine aggregates, and coarse aggregates mixed with water, is a widely used construction material since ancient times.

Different with old-time, now-available concrete has better performance in workability and durability by using Sigma Ucon concrete admixture. Concrete admixture is an additive or chemical added during concrete mixing to enhance specific properties of the fresh or hardened concrete.

Sigma Chemical Private Ltd provides whole solutions for ready-mix concrete producers, the precast concrete industry, shotcrete production, admixture distributors, and contractors.

Very often, a superplasticizer will be formulated with a blend of two or more PCEs to achieve a combined performance of high water-reducing rate and long slump life. Here the PCE is called mother liquor. The PCE mother liquor could be blended and diluted with water to finish products, which could be used together with other additives in concrete to get different properties.

What are the benefits of using Sigma Ucon concrete admixture?

Ucon Admixture can provide several benefits for concrete and other building materials. They can improve the strength and durability of the material, reduce the amount of water needed in the mix, improve workability and completion, and provide other performance benefits.

  • Reduce the Amount of Water
  • Improve the Workability of Materials
  • Provide strength of building.

Sigma Ucon Water reducing admixture is designed to achieve a specific concrete strength using a much lower water-cement ratio than normal. One reason why you might want to use less cement in your concrete mix is because a lower cement content will result in lower CO2 emissions and an overall lower energy usage rate per batch of concrete produced.
